Horrorhound Cincinnati

 I got the chance to go to HorrorHound in Cincinnati. Very cool but that place seriously needed a new AC unit.  I have been to Transworld in all three places, and it wasn't hot like here.  Lot of people were complaining about people stinking, but honestly the place needed better AC.  One thing that was supercool though was that Ed from Distortions was at my hotel.   I was randomly taking video, and he got in the shot. I have a photo of him as he is walking by. 

 Horrorhoud had the party at my hotel, and it was under my window.  Oh, my God.  I am not going to get any sleep.  But it wasn't bad.  We were smart and brought earplugs.  No problems sleeping but smelled weed all night.  I am not young anymore.  I wish I was. 

One reason that I went to HorrorHound was to get a few autographs. One was my 5th autograph on my Silent Hill poster.  Another was to get my other two pictures signed. One has Wes Cravens autograph and Freddy's/w the rest.  The other is John Carpenter. I wanted to add on to them.  I got Radha Mitchells autograph.  Then I got the jump rope girls from elm street to sign it. Their dad Tony signed my The thing pic. 

I wasnt feeling very well when I went. The seizures really mess with me. Even if I feel tired at all it gets worse.  That means I didnt take a lot of photos.  Certainly doesn't sound like me.  This blog doesn't take my phones photos. I have to convert them.  Here is a few.

Horrorhound Maskfest

 I finally have news.  In two weeks I get to see the horror masks at HorrorHound at Maskfest. Distortion Unlimited will be there.   Finally some Halloween news. Geez!  I am also getting some autographs from some horror movies. 

Diagnosed

 I finally found out what was going on all these years. I thought it was epilepsy but it wasn't.  I found myself going away from a lot of the stuff I love. Like Halloween building. I didn’t know why. I started to get migraines and seizures etc. It was starting to get rough. Last week I was test in a Chicago hospital and the diagnosed me with FND. You will have to search for that. Maybe I need to do a blog on that. It was rough and I have a lot of stories.

Halloween Cruise

 

It has been difficult for me to create the Halloween props as I once did. I still dont know what is going on with that. I am going to take a epilepsy test and a few other test in January.  But to keep the spirit I took a 9 day Halloween 🎃 cruise out of New York.  I got back November 8th.  We actually shot pass the hurricane Melissa.  They kept our balcony closed until the waves died down. 😢  Later they had a Halloween costume contest. I didn’t get any pictures. I wasn’t feeling well. I did get pictures of the Halloween door contest. That was cool.  

Homie Depot

 

I got to go to the homie Depot. I love that dragon. Sadly 😥, we are going to be in New York during Halloween this year. My wife's birthday is round Halloween.  It was still nice to get a taste of Halloween even if at Home Depot. The cruise we will be on will have a Halloween party though. So, that is something.  I will try to get pictures.

Still having issues with Photophobia and epileptic episodes. I don't have an officel diagnosis. I miss doing stuff. I had a feeling something was happening. I felt like I was slowing down for no good reason. 

Things Are Clearer

 

I know I have not been posting in a while and that I find strange. But, I know what is kind of  going on now. 

For the longest time I kept telling myself there is something wrong. I don't what, but there is something.  I have had issues that mimic migraines and epilepsy.  Still do not have an official word on that, but it has stopped me from doing Halloween.  I use to have ideas and thoughts, and I would get excited about Halloween and now nothing.   What ever this is, I hate it. Most of thought now are to plan ahead and keep a diary of my episodes. Its not fun. 

My website artist passed away (RIP)

Back between 2008 and 2011 I was trying to produce some Halloween website to pass the time.  My goal was to produce something cool for the Halloween community to use, and in the process learn PHP for website design.  The Halloween community wasn't as receptive as I hoped but I still had a good time making the two websites.  One was called Hauntseeker and the other was called Planetgravemarker.   Hauntseeker was made to help people find people's haunts.  Planetgravemarker was made to help haunters find suppliers, how-tos, or anything to help do a haunt.   It was basically a haunted link page. Anyway, I really sucked at graphic design, and I needed help with the graphics.  A lot of places I checked to make graphics was costly.   I really didn't want to spend a lot of money knowing the website might not last.  Which I was right.  But I found someone who was good and didn't cost a lot of money to produce.  His name was Gary Becks.   He had his own comics and alot of other stuff.  I asked him to produce me two characters for the two websites.  The first character was Hauntman, that you can see below.  There was actually a map where the white box was, and it showed all the locations for the haunts.   The second one he produced was Hauntwoman, which you can see on the top of this blog page.  Sadly, Gary is no longer with us.  I wanted to stop and thank him for all he did for me.  I wish I had 1/10 of the artistry he had. Thank you Gary!!!!  Rest in peace.
